Dr. Pinto seeks to integrate medical knowledge with the growing body of evidence supporting acupuncture and biomagnetic pair therapy. His goal is to optimise and adapt care for each patient.
Dr. André Pinto graduated in Medicine in 2009 from the University of Minho.
He obtained his competency in Medical Acupuncture with merit and distinction in 2015.

The patient approach begins with medical knowledge and integrates other areas of knowledge that can aid understanding of the clinical picture. Applying techniques such as medical acupuncture and biomagnetic pair therapy ensures perfect complementarity, achieving the best possible results.

Every patient has a unique history and is exposed to various stimuli that can cause physical, mental, emotional and spiritual imbalances.
The pursuit of knowledge to inform the patient approach is ongoing. Furthermore, Dr. André Pinto’s passion for sharing his experience has led to invitations to teach at higher education institutions such as the University of Santiago de Compostela, the Abel Salazar Institute of Biomedical Sciences and the Miguel Torga Higher Institute.
In addition to Dr André Pinto’s dedication, the high quality of the Biomagnetism and Biomagnetic Pair training was made possible thanks to contributions from two leading experts. Dr Catarina Meireles contributed a wealth of knowledge, integrated concepts and improved communication with students. Dr Salvador Gutiérrez is the mentor of the entire Biomagnetic Pair teaching project.
Dr Meireles is a specialist in general and family medicine. She holds a postgraduate degree in thermal medicine and naturology. She is an expert in Biomagnetic Pair Therapy and practises Functional and Integrative Medicine, focusing strongly on clinical management and person-centred gerontological care. She applies her extensive knowledge of functional and integrative medicine in her work.
Dr Gutiérrez passed on his mission to Dr André Pinto, who was tasked with teaching this promising technique in Portugal. All of the knowledge, notes, research and experience were shared, enabling the development of the current Biomagnetic Pair course content in Portugal.
